- Mavi was born on the 23rd of September 2020 in the sunshine state of California. There he lives with his mom and dad, Meli and Oli Bukowski, often portrayed as teddy bears in the Bukowski collection (Oliver & Melissa or the Meli series).
- Mavi is the second grandson, after Anton, of Barbara and Janusz Bukowski, the founders of Bukowski Design. From birth, both boys have had their own collections of teddy bears created especially for them by Barbara Bukowski. This tradition started when Barbara's own sons were born many years ago and has continued ever since. Today, countless babies around the world have had a teddy bear, rabbit, or other cute and cuddly animal named after them.
- Meli is Mavis's beloved mom. She is married to Oliver Bukowski and resides in Los Angeles together with her family.
- Mavi & Meli are part of the Bukowski "Patchwork" series which implies that they come dressed in colorful, patched-up clothing.
